| Reduced Root Escape: Reducing the number of holes in a pot to a single centrally located mesh covered hole greatly reduces the opportunity for root escape. However, the innovative step is the provision of an 8mm tall collar around this hole. Most roots in pots accumulate on the walls and base of the pots but because they generally only grow down, they are unable to grow upwards and then downwards and so cannot escape through the central collared hole. |
